A quick check on HostMonster server status today:

Server load =2.4/8.0 cpus, all servers (including mail and database servers) are up, only 20% memory is used… everything seems fine.
Except I’m seeing one single ‘yellow light’ at the disk storage - Disk /dev/sdd1 (/home1). From the numbers it shows that 87% of the disk space is used in this section. Nothing much to worry, but it’s showing that the disk space is loaded up fast.

Could this be as a result of HostMonster getting more and more popular? Will HostMonster upgrades it’s disk capacity soon? Is this just a sudden ‘usage-spike’ that occurs temporarily? Hmmm… Well, I don’t have any answer for all these; but I am sure I will be observing the situation closely. Let’s see how things go for the next few days.
Anyway, one thing for sure is that all my web maintenance operations work just fine at HostMonster. Everything’s as smooth as usual and I have no worries on hosting with HostMonster at all.
After all, they have been giving me such a good experience so far - why should I be bothered about such tiny thing (the 87% disk usage)?

Further Details
Basically till now, I am happy with most of the things at HostMonster. Server uptime scores a perfect ten; the order page (when I first subscribed) is smooth and secured; and I have definitely no complaints on the features covered in their hosting plan.
The only thing that I wish they were better is their customer supports.
No doubt that HostMonster had been already doing a good job. They had their customer support team built in-house (but not sub the job to India
); the guy who answered my phone is professional and friendly; the verification department answer my emails and solve my problems lighting fast.
However, as said previous, I am unhappy with their scam alert system and I believe something’s better can be done to avoid collateral damage to the customer experience with them.
Conclusion
All in all, I am glad that I picked HostMonster as my web host so far. They are definitely in my recommended web hosting list for my friends and family.

You might already knew that Host Monster Secret Revealed is hosted on HostMonster it self for the review purpose. As the website had been started for some time, I think it’s time to give a quick wrap up with the web host performance thru out the past one month.
A quick review on HostMonster server status
For the past one month, server is 100% up; server load time is doing okay. On the disk storage issue, I don’t see their ‘unlimited disk storage’ offer affecting existing users like us (look at figure below) as no hard disk are found overloaded at the moment - let’s see what will happen for the next few months. Anyhow, I believe the company has the hardware well prepared for sudden spike in term of new customer signup.

Wrapping things up
As usual, I am not a computer expert and all reviews done here are solely based on my *REAL* customer experience. I think the HostMonster’s hosting plan is a good buy so far when you compare the price to the features they offer. Unlimited domain hosting, unlimited disk storage, unlimited bandwidth transfer, plus the server is in superb condition consistently - what more you can ask for a $7/month deal?
